eBay Woes
#1
I recently bought a Famicom from a seller in Japan via eBay. However, I immediately knew the item I got was not the one in the picture. Today I see another auction from the same seller that had the pictures of the actual Famicom they sent me. I have opened a dispute with Paypal and will see where it goes from there. Has anyone ever had to do this? If so, what was the outcome?

I created a page with proof if this. If you would like to see it, check out:

The auction links are:

(the Famicom I bought)

(the Famicon someone else bought)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230018169285

I think I have a pretty good case... what do you think? Smile

Looks like you've got a pretty good case, I've had to open a couple cases for people sending things like a month after i purchased it and stuff but i haven't had any major problems.

Yeah, I had trouble with eBay once. The guy tried to sell me a cheap/bad/misadvertsied guitar and then would not refund me....eventually eBay caught him and it worked out.

You can also open a dispute with Ebay. I have opened 2 disputes with Paypal, and both issues were resolved without incident.

You should contact the seller first, maybe forward the page you created to them and then if you don't get any satisfaction start the dispute process.
Goodluck!!

I liked eBay until I set up my debit card on PayPal and somehow someone ordered two salsa dresses USING MY ACCOUNT! I don't know who or how it happened but it pissed me off...I wouldn't have know it but I checked my e-mail and saw the confirmation and the charge reciept they send you via e-mail... Luckily it didnt take anything out of my account though. Needless to say I called PayPal the next day and told them what happened and had my account deleted permanetly.
