1. Highlands- Birds open the season after an impressive scrimmage showing vs. Cincy St. X
2. Simon Kenton- Pioneers beat down the defending 4A Champs
3. CovCath- Colonels pummel Boone County
4. Campbell County- Camels take down an Indiana doe and start off on the right Camel Toe
5. Dixie Heights- Colonels open with a stiff test
Game of the Week:
Highlands vs. Campbell County- Will the Highlands doubters be quieted? Will the Camels rise to the challenge and de-throne the reigning King of NKY?

I would say the game of the week is Dixie and Cov Cath. Very even match up.

I agree, I think Dixie/CovCath will be a great match up. One of NKY's best at QB verses one of NKY's best defenses.
to round out the top 10 from that, I'd go
6. Cooper
7. Beechwood
8. NCC
9. Ryle
10. Holmes

1) HHS
2) Dixie
3) CCH
4) SK
5) Beechwood
6) NCC
7) Campbell
8) Holmes
9) Boone
10) Walton
I believe in Dixie this year. Very tough on defensive side of the ball and Drew Moore has a couple of receivers to throw to this year. SK is getting a little too much credit for beating Collins. With a sophomore QB and Powell out 3 weeks, they have something to prove. Beechwood is very senior heavy this year and should threaten Mayfield and Frankfort for the 1A title.
I would drop Ryle out (Sorry TNT!) and put Boone in as long as Lamb is healthy. My # 10 is debateable.

I'd Drop Boone & Ryle our of the top 10. Boone could be knocking on the door though. Ryle has to prove a lot over the next two weeks to even think about being mentioned in the top 10.:Sad04:
