I think yesterday was HC's first official practice for spring. Does anyone know how it went? Numbers? Anyone stand out? Any surprises?

How many new players did the Black Bears have out?

Where my granny at? Granny, what have you heard so far about practice? I heard today they had around 50 on the practice field and that is not including the 45 incoming 8th graders. Big numbers is always important in the game of football.

A lot of kids out. The off season weight program has helped once again. They're stronger. There's some young guys who could step in and help if they continue to work hard. They'll have them ready to roll come August. I think we'll have another exciting year. Spirits are high. Seem to have good team unity.

Hunter has made leaps and bounds in his game! Congrats to him for his title in the weight lifting competition!
I can't really tell what Zak thinks; he's always up and positive. If he errs, it will be on the positive side of any situation.
I don't think there are any surprises, at least he hasn't said anything to me. I'm excited for the season to begin and can't help it!!
Is it August yet??

Is HC not having their annual spring game? Not heard anything about it happening. I am sure Granny Bear or Mama Bear might have the low down.

I've heard rumors of NO Spring Game.

I hate that but coach knows what he is doing.

I hate it, too. I was looking forward to seeing it.

No spring game usually means really low numbers

Trust me, numbers is not a problem. I wouldn't consider 40+ low numbers and that is not counting 40+ eighth that can't participate in spring practice.

Ok HC fans, someone please help me out on this. I went out the other day to watch spring practice and saw a kid I have never seen on the field before. This kid is by far the biggest kid I have ever seen in high school football. I don't mean by weight or height but I am talking about his build. He was probably 6'2 or so and probably weighed around 250 and had the biggest arms and legs I have ever seen in high school. I mean this kids is a freak. What grade is he in? Is he a transfer? If he can't play a lick I would just make sure he stays on the team so that he can be the first player on the field on Friday nights because he definitely passes the look test.

Wyatt Rossi,a Jr. He's quite a specimen! Grabbed him out of the hallway. He loves the gym. He's learning. Never played before. Could help out if he catches on quick. He's a good kid. I was glad to see him strap the pads on.
