Was South Laurel as good as I heard? Anyone have info from this tournament? What about Corbin? Boyd? Magoffin? Menifee?Rowan?

Corbin is struggling big time. They have entire team returning from last year but still can't score. Hart is not really a top flight pitcher, she is a secondbaseman forced to pitch.Scores seem to point to South winning this tournament. They lost quite a few players to graduation but have their number 1 pitcher back. Don't know a lot about the rest other than Rowan has been decent for a while, Maggofin has won their region a few times but it's very weak, and Boyd supposedly has a pretty good pitcher. Know nothing about Menifee.

South Laurel won the tournament. They are a very good team. They are fast and very sound defensively. They made 1 error in the three games (The right fielder lost one in the sun). Senior pitcher, Hagan Burns won all three games in dominant fashion. Magoffin 5-2, Menifee 11-0 and Rowan 4-1, giving up a total of 6 hits. Rowan Co. made the championship game by beating Corbin and Boyd Co. They are a solid team, very athletic. Magoffin has a very strong pitcher in Soph. Hannah Skaggs. Boyd Co. also looked good. they only lost to Rowan Co. in extra innings. Corbin struggled.

South is off to a good start. I originally had some doubts about both North and South, but it looks like they're the favorites as usual. Corbin has been a huge disappointment, and Clay hasn't even played yet due to their field issues. I look for Middlesboro to pass Corbin.

Didn't pitch very smart against North. No way you let Yantz have anything close to the plate on the 2nd homerun.
