Okie St. Texas Tech game
#1
Marcus Smart, whom isn't very smart shoves fan during game. I thought this would be news on BGR hoops for sure. The fan must have said something for the kid to go into the stands.
#2
Smart certainly crossed the line, but I have no sympathy for whatever idiot thinks it's ok to insult someone without repercussions. Let alone, someone who is capable of whooping your butt.
#3
Smart did not go into the stands after the guy. He fell into the stands after a hustle play. It was there the moron said something obviously terrible to him and Smart turned around and shoved him. Marcus Smart shouldn't have pushed the guy but the fan was far from innocent and probably at fault for the entire incident.

I got sick of the ESPN talking heads comparing Smart to Fon Artest. Wasn't even close.

By the way. Tim Welsh is an idiot.
#5
Suspend him
#6
He better grow a pair in a hurry because he will hear far worse in the NBA.
#7
How about Tubby getting a big win !!!!!!
#8
So why was smart T up? This may be an absolute dumb question by me. Is there a rule if you have an altercation with a fan you get a T?

I've get this to say about it

It's 2013, if we still have IDIOT WHITE TRASH calling blacks - "N*****S", then I wish Smart would have pulled out out a Glock and capped that MO FO's A$$.

And for anyone to actually think that Smart will hear worse in the NBA where the ticket costs $100, than what you will hear from moron's that only getting in for $10 bucks, THEN YOU ARE NUTS. This is NOT 1960 anymore, if it was a racial epithet, I hope they throw that racist homophobic Jeff Orr into prison for a few days with those he likes to castigate. This is NOT the first time that they have had problems with this moron and it's time for people to start going to his house with burning crosses!

Dusty is that the Iron Sheik in fashion "jorts" ?

^ Long before John Cena, Jort's were popular... Smile

Marcus Smart receives 3 game suspension for altercation with fan. The irony of this is when the 3 game suspension is over, he gets to suit up against Texas Tech. :truestory:

As Dusty said, this isn't the first time this fan has antagonized a player. The fan should receive some sort of punishment as well. All too many times fans cross the line when insulting players so why is it a surprise when a player reacts.
I don't trust words, I trust action...

They both went into the stands after a fan, so there is a comparison. Luckily Smart only pushed the idiot or he would probably be done for the year. Not one person other than Smart has come forward and said this man made a racial slur; everyone is so quick to jump on this, even Smart has not publicly stated that is what was said! In video all you hear is "you are a piece of crap". Not appropriate, but far from a racial slur. Smart can not let that get to him and jump into the stands;he drops to the level of the idiot fan. Would like to see security around the country throw more idiot fans out of the arenas.

the guy had to have said something before "you piece of crap" to provoke Smart, whether it was a racial slur or not doesn't matter. My point is, the fan poked the bear and the bear fought back.

Don't poke the bear when the bear is close by

Mr Orr, the fan involved I forgot his first name has self imposed his own suspension saying he will not attend any home or away games for the rest of the "regular season". Guess that means he can't wait to get to the conference tournament.

I don't care what the fan said, you have no right to be in physical contact with any fan! Marcus Smart lost his cool, and with that, I think his draft lottery pick just went down! he showed his character.
