Grand View (IA) 35 Cumberlands 23 NAIA National Championship
#1
Final.

Got to see this entire game online.

Cumberlands had a chance to really take over in the 3rd and was stopped on a 4th and goal from the one and never recovered.

Good season.
Only loss of the year.

Expect this team to only get better.

Congrats to Grandview on the Championship. They made plays when they had to and played with a lot more urgency.

Thanks for a great ride Patriots and continued success!

Sad to see Cumberlands lose but they still had a great year. Two great years back to back, with last year being their best year in school history prior to this year. They return a few of the skills guys in the backfield so they'll have that to build on.

Overall, it was a great game. Both teams had great goal-line stands. The one that Grand View had really took the momentum out of UC however. I would've liked to have saw UC give Jordan an opportunity when they were inside the 5 but they simply don't turn away from the QB power that close the the goal line, for whatever reason.

Cumberlands just made too many mistakes in this game, simple ones that just weren't made throughout the season. The defense got worn down and were on the field a bunch due to the 2 punts, one muffed and the other being deflected off a blocker.

Can't take credit away from Grand View however. They played a heck of a game and took advantage of all the mistakes UC had. Great season to both teams. Hopefully UC can be a contender for awhile now

Don't forget UC was without Terrence Cobb.

The guy is probably the best player in the country, and UC played without him this year due to injuries.

Two punts were big momentum changers. The team with the least mistakes won.
