RICHMOND, Ky. â The Eastern Kentucky University football team wraps up its home schedule Saturday afternoon against OVC foe UT Martin. Game time is set for 1 p.m. ET.
Saturday's game can be seen for FREE on the OVC Digital Network.
Prior to the game, 19 seniors will be honored for their contributions to the program over the last four to five years. The senior class helped EKU capture the 2011 OVC title and compile 27 victories over the last four seasons. The 2013 senior class includes DB Christian Albertson, TE Ike Ariguzo, P Jordan Berry, TE Ryan Bonner, DL Anthony Brown, DL David Carter, OL Travon Carter, QB Ben De La Cruz, OL Julio Geronimo, LB Tyler Horn, OL Austin Jaggers, FB Roman Lawson, TE Matt Lengel, OL Justin Meredith, K Luke Pray, WR Nathan Rawe, DL Shawn Shupperd, LB Ichiro Vance and TE Nathan Watts.
EKU will also have a special halftime ceremony with a Veterans Day Salute, honoring all former and active members of the U.S. military.
Eastern Kentucky and UT Martin enter Saturday's game with identical records of 6-4 overall and 4-2 in Ohio Valley Conference action. The winner of the game will keep its name in the hunt for an at-large bid into the FCS playoffs which begin on Nov. 30.
Eastern has turned the ball over 19 times in 10 games this season, including four times last week at Jacksonville State. The Colonels turned the ball over just nine times all season in 2012 while ranking second nationally (FCS) in turnover margin (+19). This year, EKU ranks next to last in the OVC in turnover margin (+0), ahead of only UT Martin (-13).
Following this game, the Colonels conclude the regular season at Murray State on Saturday, Nov. 23.
