Dawgs gave a good fight in second half, but just not enough

Congrats to the Hawks....LC coaches made the right adjustments but when you have 5 turn overs in a game it makes it hard to over come that...Dawgs did great being down 26-0 in 2nd qrt and 26-6 at half. Shake if off and get ready the for the BIG BOY game against Belfry next week.

Congrats to my Hawks on getting a good win but for the 2nd week in a row PC almost blows the game. Still hurting from the way we gave the Fairview game away but a win is a win

This team has got to stop starting games the way they do.
It's almost like they are in a daze in the first half of games the they come out and dominate in the 2nd half. I don't think this team has played a full 4 quarter game up to their potential all year.

Pike Central is better than they are being given credit for. Last weeks game taught them they had to play to the final horn.

Folks, this was truly a tale of 2 halves.

Pike Central absolutely came out on fire in the 1st half and got all the way out to a 26-0 lead.

LC had a kick-off return for a TD right before the 1st half, and that momentum must have seriously carried over because the points just kept on coming for LC and the cut the lead down to 26-20 late in the 4th quarter.

Yet again, PC almost shot theirselves in the foot late in the game...but somehow, someway Pike Central's defense was able to clamp down deep in their own territory to secure the victory.

Mac Justice & Dakota Ray once again were the key performers for PC.

I give Lawrence Co. a hell of alot of credit, some teams might cave under the pressure going down nearly 4 TD's but not this team. They fought literally until the very end.

Pike Central dominated the first half, and Lawrence County dominated the second half. 5 turnovers for LC and that really hurt them with a few of those inside the red zone, or this could have been a different ball game. Once again the refs missed some obvious calls as the corner back was holding Timmy Dalton for LC at least 3 times and yet no call. That's the only way they was going to slow him down because he was the game changer. The Hawks have a good football team, and impressed me. Bulldogs showed a lot of heart and played their butts off until the last play. Great game to be a part of

1A - Fairview - 7-0 - Lost
1A - Raceland - 5-2 - Won (Skin of their teeth)
3A - Pike Cen. - 4-3 - Lost

The rest of their schedule has a combined 8-31 Record.

Lawrence county has to stop coming out flat.lc might be be the worst fort half football team ever and the best second half team ever.Congrats to Pcc.

1A -Fairview- 7-0 beat Paintsville like they stole someting name me a 3a team in the mountains other then Belfry that they are not capable of beating.
1A - Raceland - 5-2 will also beat Paintsville like they stole something and is capable of beating Fairview and could probably beat any 3a team other then Belfry in the mountains on any given friday night this season.
3A - Pike Cen - Beat us 26-20 in a game that we had a lot of chances to win just go ask Pike fans. Pike also lost to Fairview last Friday.

The rest of our schedule we beat about as bad as we should so what more do you want from us. At the end of the day I know another team that we could beat probably just as bad as Fairview did (lol)

So easy? You guys are crazy. Your comparing your 3A football team to a 1A Team that is rebuilding from ground zero pretty much.

This was a great game to broadcast despite the outcome. Pike Central came out on fire, and in the second half did what they needed to do to secure the win. Lawrence County dug themselves in a hole, but showed a lot of heart and grit to come back like they did. Pike Central was the better team that night enough said lol. Lawrence County beat themselves by turning the ball over and everyone knows it. If they hold on to the ball, i think they win but we will never know. Great job to both teams.
