I always thought Sveum would be the guy to man the ship during Theo's first two seasons. Truth is, very few people could have done much more with this team. Any veteran that produced was going to be shipped immediately for prospects so they could build for the future. I had thought that he would be holding the job for Ryno, but I guess Ryno had other plans. Cant blame him there. I love my Cubbies, but they are probably the worst franchise in sports in terms of success. With Girardi's contract being up at the end of this month, I would suspect he is Epstein's intended target.
