Good job Eagles, way to take care of business. Shawn Grim and the entire offensive line were the winners of the two offensive awards and the entire defensive unit won the defensive award. Seems like everyone that ran the ball did a fantistic job. Great atmosphere and a great crowd.

JC's defense held South Point to 150 total yards offense and held Chris Smith to 89 yards passing. JC played a soild game tonight.

It was really awesome. South Point's Qb was shut completely off. I never seen the eagles work that hard as a team. They really have it together. Johnson Central has a team to fear this year. Keep up the good work guys you are truly a great team of players. May God Bless You all the rest of this season.

I hope all your coaches and community appreciate your dedication as a team. You make us all proud.

Good game by the Eagles tonight although i thought the Offensive was a little sluggish in the early parts of the game. The running game tonight was solid and very balanced with Johnson scoring 2TD's, Grimm 2TD's, and Dillon 1 TD. The defense was very solid tonight in picking Smith off 3 times but missed quite a few tackles which could be contributed to the pure strength and athletism of Smith. I think that he deserves all his rankings, did anyone else see him on a knee at the 50yd line and throwing into the endzone. This kid in my mind is the real deal but just isnt on a very good team, well good skill players but bad lineman. I think Marshall landed a very good recruit. Good game Eagles and good luck next week against Logan, WV at home in "The Nest" and good luck to the Pointers on the rest of your season.

The third int of the game was on a half-back pass.

Congrats to the Eagles and I agree they have a team to be feared this year but with the change in the classes they had better enjoy this year.

I agree 100% CD. It should be a Rockcastle/Johnson Central regional final this season. Next year things will get a bit rougher with Woodford County joining the district and matching up with the Northern Kentucky Twins Highlands and CovCath in the regional final.

I feel for your Tomcats and the Eagles after this year. But I can't say that I'll be all that said either. But I'll still be pulling for all the eastern Ky teams when the playoffs begin.

Better watch out for the Eagles@!

Let's all just remember, this is a school that has won just one playoff game in their entire career and that was back in 2000 when they went 11-1. Last year they were heavy favorites to win their opening round but were upset. I sure hope they do well just because my cuz is out there. It was a good game by the Eagles, but as many have said it, one player for SP is all that stood out. You(being SP) can't win a ball game against a pretty solid team when you have 1 swan surrounded by a group of ugly ducklings.(I know, not the best analogy, but all I could think of.)

Smith is an exceptional player his recievers I thought were good No. 8 is a hoss but SP's o-line needs some work JC's defense was able to put pressure on him most of the game.

congrats JC

Congrat Jc.. good job of taking care of south point.. and nice job on the interceptions
08-27-2006, 01:38 PM
Smith is the real deal I think we will all see him on Saturdays next year. As for JC it was a geat display of effort and this win was well deserved as a pay off for their hard work.

Chris Smith is one of the best QB that I have seen in a while I think he is in a class with Justin Burke and Brian Brohm even though he is more mobile than the two though

How did Blake Johnson do in this game?

Dont know the exact yardage but i would guess close to 60 yds rushing and had 2 TD's. Also had a lot of good tackles on defense.

JC has yet to be tested, and I really don't know if they have a decent team on their schedule with maybe the exception of Ashland. Could it possibly be the next undefeated season? I am thinking so, now if they could just do something about that Eagle Cry, I was talking to my brother on the phone and heard it and was like, What the world??? LOL...but it sure beats the men in black song I heard all the time back when I was in middle school and the first part of HS.

Bryan Station could a a problem for JC because last year JC went to Bryan Station and came out with a 13 point victory but with the game being in Paintsville then it could be a different story!!!
