Any word on how bad Marcus Johnson's injury was? I know they had to take him out on stretcher. Looked like ACL possibly to me.

I haven't heard anything official...but the prognosis doesn't look good.

His high school career could be over.

Even tho the score was rather lop-sided, this is still much better for Pike Central instead of playing Phelps every year in the Pike County Bowl.

I thought PC did a fair job of moving the football early in the game, especially with Marcus. Should have had more completions tho. Our receivers had a tad bit of the dropsies.

PC was also without back-up RB Dakota Ray & starting G Bryson Patton as a result of the Breathitt Co. brawl last season. They'll also miss next week's game as well before being eligible to return on September 13th against Letcher Central.

How much of this was HC being good? They had high expectations for this season.

Elijah Bell had over 200 yards rushing w/4 scores (3 rushing/1 receiving).

It's too early to tell how good they'll be, should holdout judgement until they play teams more their size & speed.
