I remember Lawrence county giving up 50 to the cats last year I doubt they've improved that much.

I doubt they beat us by more than what they did in 2008 JC is very good but these tomcats will be just fine come district play. Alot of talent and good things last night. The defense is just raw.

That's a good team and a good program. Cats could be 1-2 or 0-3 with 9 new starters on defense everyone knew the lumps were coming early this season. I think back to 2006 when the cats started 0-2 and didn't lose again until the finale at Johnson central. And returned a few weeks later and lost cause of a miracle half back pass.

There was some questionable timekeeping when NewCath had the ball driving for a score just before the half. 5.7 seconds on the clock at the start of the play, which was a short pass where the quarterback rolled right before the throw. He completed the short pass inside the 10, and when I looked back at the clock there was still 1.1 seconds left. No way that wasn't friendly timekeeping. That sequence had to take 10 seconds at minimum. Even the NewCath guys I was sitting with agreed that something didn't smell exactly right. It kind of took the sting out of the equally smelly pass interference play on NC late in the game.

Point was officials definitely didn't decide the game and I don't think any ashland fan would argue that. Just got beat by a better team

I agree. I thought they offset each other nicely. That was an entertaining game from the start.

I know the time keeper, so I feel comfortable saying that it was not intentional, but he did start the game clock late
