* The BGR Power Rankings are a different take on rankings offering a regional breakdown with all classes combined. These rankings are intended to be fluid with merit awarded on performance, strength of schedule, and the general "it" factor. A team is not guaranteed to retain their spot with a victory, nor are they guaranteed to move down due to a loss**
1. Scott County- The Cardinals were as close to the 6A title as they have ever been as they pushed Trinity to their limits in the playoffs, yet fell short. The clear #1 team in CKY last season will have a chance to go wire to wire again.
2. LexCath- The Knights appear to have one of their best teams in the past few years with a veteran QB and dangerous playmakers. A tough schedule will certainly test their mettle.
3. Henry Clay- If there was ever a year for Henry Clay to regain their form as the best Lexington Public School it is this one with the most dangerous backfield duo in the State of Kentucky returning.
4. Lafeyette- The Generals have planted their flag in Lexington and will once again be counted on to put a quality product on the field.
5. Boyle County- The Rebels talent pool has been solid, but not necessarily dominant in recent years. They definitely have a good base to build from as they set their sights on LexCath/
