It’s time for Georgia Tech to start winning big time. Chan Gailey is coming into his 5th year as coach, and in all honesty they have been major disappointments…

Reggie Ball isn’t a great QB (he completed only 48 percent of his passes last year), but he has a big targets to throw too…

Calvin Johnson is a dark horse for Heisman. Again it’s time for him to step up…

Georgia Tech is a true sleeper pick to win the title, but there non-conference schedule is outrageous. I think they lose twice, but a win over Miami gets them to the ACC championship game….

Analysis
Larry Coker has taken some heat on South beach, and it’s hard to believe after winning 53 games in five years. Last year’s Peach Bowl loss caused some changes to the coaching staff, and hopefully that resolves the problem for them…

They have to find a running attack, they haven’t had a consistent runner since McGahee left after the 2002 season….

Kyle Wright is going to be a solid QB, but he’s not going to be winning a Heisman trophy either…

Miami will only lose once, but that loss will come to the eventually ACC coastal champs…

Analysis
Frank Beamer has done an outstanding job at Virginia Tech. He took a program with poor facilities and a poor record and turned them into contenders every single year…

I think there offense will struggle this year based on inexperience. They’ll need some kids to step up in a big fashion to be competitive against the top tier teams…

Virginia Tech has been somewhat of a surprise over the last couple of years, but I think they’ll have trouble repeating that feat…

Virginia Tech will win some games they shouldn’t but it still will not be enough to contend for the ACC title…..

Analysis
Al Groh has called this a “rebuilding” season for Virginia, and I agree. This team wasn’t exactly explosive last season, and losing their starting QB and RB wont make things better…

Virginia is one of those teams that consistently gets to six-seven wins, but never makes a ton of noise in terms of the conference.

Marques Hagens was about as tall as my leg, but he did have a nice completion percentage and didn’t make a ton of mistakes…..

Virginia will not be as good this year, but it’s hard not seeing them in a bowl… I’m probably being nice, but I really believe in Al Groh’s system…

North Carolina is either halfway decent or really bad every year. I think they’ll be really bad this year, with only 5 offense returning starters and more than likely a Red shirt QB starting….

John Bunting has to get to a bowl game this year to save his job IMO, and he’s not going to do it. I give UNC credit for scheduling tough non-conference opponents the last several seasons, but it’s really biting them in the butt…..

It’s hard to believe that a decade ago, Mack Brown had UNC in the top ten…..

North Carolina is going nowhere. I don’t see a direction, and I don’t think they match last year’s 5 wins…

Analysis
Duke is a complete joke in football. They haven’t been to a bowl game since 1994, and haven’t been competitive for a conference championship since Steve Spurrier won them on in 1989...

Ted Roof’s ass will be as hot as a hot tin roof if he cannot get this turned around, they have been 2-9 and 1-10 the last two seasons, and I don’t see it getting better…

Duke averaged 12 PPG last season in conference, and they lose 7 starters from that team. They’ll be lucky to average 10 this year…

Duke is a mess. Mark it up as a guaranteed victory if you play them, and I actually wouldn’t be surprised if Richmond beat them the first game of the year….
