What seniors did Mayfield lose, what did they contribute and who will replace them?

Somebody like 55 could answer this better but Jonathan Jackson is by far our biggest loss. However we are loaded next year and our bringing in a freshman class that is one of the best we've had.

We lost 1 lineman that did not play much in the playoffs. That being Rakeem Burton. We lost our best receiver in Jordan Brown. We lost our two strongest linebackers in Jonathan Jackson and Deondre Jackson. I believe that is all. The two in the middle will be the hardest to replace. I think we have plenty of talent and speed to get the job done though.

That's not much to replace but good linebackers can be hard to replace. LB's make a lot of tackles but the difference is are they 0-3 yard gains or 4-7 yard gains?
I saw on Mayfield stats where Burton played 9 of 15 games his junior year and only 3 this year. What injuries did he have?

I believe Burton had some problems with his knee. I think he was just trying to tough it out. But when you are somewhat heavy, as am I, then it is much harder to just tough those injuries out.

By the way, I think we added a couple of juniors that came from Heath this year. We also added a big lineman from Lone Oak, he came after season was over last year. I don't know if we have gained any others. I have seen some of our boys grow a lot and appear to be much stronger this year.

OK. What schools consolidated? What is the new school? What does this do to the districts in western Kentucky?

Lone Oak, Riedland and Heath combined into one school. This is the McCracken County Mustangs. That takes away the west Ky 4a power over the past few years of Lone Oak. The other 2 teams have been somewhat insignificant over the past few years and competed in the 2a and 3a classifications.

Returning a senior qb who threw for 3000 yards with a 30 to 1 TD to int radio will be huge. We do have big shoes to fill at LB and Rb. I think we had enough blow out wins that saw our backup Lb and running backs got quite a bit of clock. We won't have the power game but Tyler brings more break away speed and I think we will pass more so I think we may be even more explosive offensively. Jonathan Jacksons leadership will be very hard to replace. We may give up a few more points and that is a big may as in actually think we will be stronger at DB and Defensive line. I think we are fierce and I mean fierce at Defensive End.

The biggest returning players will be our QB who threw for over 3K with only 1 int and his entire offensive line.
Mayfield returns 8 starters on both offense and defense.
Key losses are Jackson at LB and RB plus out top WR and another LB that was very very good.
We also lost Jordon Tyler who didn't start last year and likely wouldn't this year ar RB but would provide a lot of depth at RB. He moved

He will be around. His son is a freshman this year.

Jordan Tyler was supposed to start this year. Whos beat him out all though ive always thought he was kinda skinny and weak but very fast. Is this amicable transfer or another ever growing Labront Scott thing.

He had to transfer because of family. Will have to leave it at that.

Mayfield will always be fine, they have a great program with great tradition and great coaching. Tradition runs deep!
