EC Lady Engineers Varsity top Powell Co. behind Rawlins' four hits, 11-1


An exceptional effort by Cheyenne Rawlins spurred EC Lady Engineers Varsity to an 11-1 win in five innings over Powell Co. on Monday at J.L. Thomas Field.


Rawlins rocked Powell Co. with two home runs. Rawlins went 4-4 in the game with three RBIs and three runs scored. Rawlins homered in the third and fifth innings.


EC Lady Engineers Varsity's bats came to life in the third inning. Powell Co. had no answer as EC Lady Engineers Varsity scored seven runs.


Powell Co. couldn't get anything going as long as Michaela Gross was on the mound.



Gross gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two during her five innings of work.


The lead stayed with EC Lady Engineers Varsity after the first, when it scored one run on an error.


EC Lady Engineers Varsity increased its lead with two runs in the second. McKeely



Muncie singled, bringing home Taylor Isfort to start the inning. That was followed up by Kennedy Flynn's single, scoring Muncie.

Well my perdiction was right on target Estill winning in 5...Hard to beat the Engineers when they are hitting on all cylinders...no pun intended....they are a team to be considered for 14th Region Champs...Powell had no answer for Estill...at least last night...
