Whitley, Clay, and Harlan County could all beat LCC without much trouble IMO.

So much for this theory. Good win for the cougars

I guess Letcher and SV are a little better than Harlan Co.

Eh, you win some, you lose some.
I bet you sit there until the final horn with that quote so you could post it. Would you have posted it had they lost too? Confusednicker:

It's never that cut and dried even if HCHS had been playing better most of the year. Harlan County has struggled offensively at times and it caught up with them Saturday. They had only one point in the second quarter. They won the other three, but Letcher is a good team. I think they were second in the 14th Region to open the year and start four seniors.

Is it safe to say HC is the better team, even after the loss? Or is the inconsistent play something to be worried about midway through the season?

Sooooo, looks like I was right. Huh? After watching how bad Sv played against letcher the other day and still won. I think it's safe to say that you wouldn't want to see what Sv would do to Harlan if they played to there capabaility. Sv has now beaten letcher, Sheldon Clark, Lawrence Co, Knott Co. 4 teams out of the mountain top 10 already. I'm not gonna say I told you so, but.....you know the rest

How about you read the rest of my post from today goober.

Shelby Valley, Harlan County, and Letcher Central would play 10 times and they would split against each other. Each have their own strength and weaknesses and if exploited on a particular game the other comes out on top,

Tough loss for the Lady Bears. They will rebound though. I am still picking them over other 13th region teams for the rest of the season and tourny time. Hopefully we will meet Letcher again and have another chance. Good luck to both teams!

Both these teams are tough. Both want to press you man to man full court and pressure. I would still say that Harlan is the better team overall but if Eldridge isn't sick and running full steam then LCC is a very nice team. Cornett down low gives them a presence that most teams don't have.
