If you want to shorten the season by a week, tell your coach to only schedule 9 games and see what his reply is.

Go back to an 11 game regular season and the top 2 teams from each district like it used to be. You wouldn't shorten anything.

There is alot of good players stuck on some bad teams ,especially if they are seniors, get to play one more high school game. And still have a chance for somthing great to happen. I remember Lawrence Co. 10-0 got beat in the first round by Boyd.

I think this is exactly what needs to happen. Play 11 games and send the top two teams from each district into the playoffs.
