Dusty Baker, i think the Reds do everything they can to keep that staff together for a couple more seasons

Dusty isn't going anywhere.

Dusty Baker is going to be Manager for as long as he wants. He's loved by the players and he has an incredible relationship with the ownership.

It's Dusty's job unless he decides for health reasons to hang it up.

I don't see why people want to get rid of Dusty. I like him.
Dusty will stay, unless he leaves due to health problems.

I would be stunned if Walt & Co. didn't bring him back.

Dusty isn't going anywhere any time soon.

Most of you predicted Dusty isn't going anywhere and the results are in:
He inked a 2 year extension today. Congrats to Dusty and the Reds organization for moving on this quickly!

Most people seem to hate on Dusty but, I think that the 2 year extentsion was the best move that the Reds could have made at this point. I am sure that he will be able to get them past the the NLDS during the remainder of his new contract!

I really respect Baker... Old school

Baker's a better than decent manager, but I'd like to think the Reds
could do better. Especially since they are still relatively young, and will
need to bring in more youngsters to fill holes next season. Baker's
biggest drawback is his ridiculous aversion to younger players.
He'd rather go with a proven .220 hitter that's been in the bigs
a few years, than give a rook a shot to prove himself. And that
doesn't bode well for giving Hamilton a shot next season.
Course that's all moot since he is here for 2 more years. So
we hope for the best.

I'd say once Baker does in fact leave...in my opinion Bryan Price (Reds pitching coach) will take over the team.
It'd be a good move, the pitching under Price has been fantastic.

^ Price proved his merit last season. It would be a good move.

Baker isn't leaving anytime soon. If he was he wouldn't have signed a contract extension about a month or so ago

When Dusty is gone. Rick Sweat!!!

Dusty is a much better manager than he ever was a player. But he does know the game and what it takes to win, and win he does. As far as Hamilton goes the that will be not just dusty but Walt will have a say in the matter and if the kid is ready he will play.
Hamilton my very well be the next big thing but is he really ready??? He hasn't played above AA ball yet, the next level will tell if he is ready and I hope he is but only time will tell.
