I am glad to see that this thread is on its second page and Dusty (despite not posting) has seen the true like and respect everybody here has for him and what he does for this site. I will stretch this thread a bit by asking, what are your favorite BGR memories of Stardust?

WideRight05 Wrote:Stardust is about to hit his monumental 100,000th post, and may already have done so by the time this thread is created. Stardust, or "Dusty" as we like to call him, joined BGR in December 2008 and immediately had an impact through his dedication and enthusiam. From day one, he was determined to make BGR not just a great site for a couple of regions in KY - he was determined for BGR to go to the next level and become the best sports site in the state. After dealing with some opposition at first, Dusty earned the support of many of the posters, eventually earning the responsibility of becoming a moderator, and recently being one of the site's administrators. The growth of BGR is in large part due to the efforts of Stardust. He is eager for BGR to stand out alone in one major area that everybody strives to see in a sports site - to put it in Dusty's own words, "We represent a true alternative to others to post their feelings without having repercussions of banishment."

As somebody who joined less than a year ago, one of my favorite parts about BGR with Dusty is that he is involved in a great majority of threads on BGR, always bringing great discussion and insight to the table. You know that when a thread is created, when you post in a thread, he will be there to provide great discussion. He is very reliable, and his commitment to maintaining BGR as the #1 sports site in the state of KY is unquestioned.

I originally planned to post some of the best threads that Stardust has either started or contributed discussion to. However, I think this one below would be the best thread to show. It is one of Dusty's first posts in early 2009. The beginning of Dusty's legacy on BGR.

Given his 72 post a day average, one would probably think that Stardust has no life. Right? Wrong. Stardust is heavily involved in his community and is to be commended for making such a strong effort to make a difference in his area. From having a conversation with him prior to creating this thread, I can say that Dusty truly makes an effort to have a superstar-level impact in all area of life - work, family, Church, and community.

Stardust, on behalf of everybody at BGR, I would like to say thank you for making this a great discussion board for people to post their opinions. This site has increased a great amount because of you, and no one can ever question your commitment. This site, because of you was, is, and will continue to be the #1 sports site in the state of KY.

HawksRule Wrote:When he started the man posted everything and anything. That part hasn't changed but his acceptance to BGR has. He was hated and as stated above people thought he was a plant or the Anti Christ lol but SD has done a hell of a lot of posting since those days. He found his reputation as the guy who has no life and lives on forums. He also likes to go by the Modfather guess that's a personal decision. Ah whatever bad as I hate to say it congrats SD on 100,000. We shouldn't be congratulating this we should be saying get a life because BGR has took yours away from you. It also probably set in carpal tunnel by now

Five days to recover from surgery and back at it....Confusednicker:
