This is Week 2 of the inaugural Bluegrass Rivals Regional Power Rankings!
We will rank the Top 5 in each region of the stat, based on a "pound for pound" basis. We will take into account Strength of Schedule, margin of victory/defeat, magnitude of games, and come to a conclusion.
Rankings are meant for discussion, and your feedback is what we want to hear whether you agree or not. Make your case for your team!
1. Bowling Green- Cruise control until October 12th rolls around for the Purples. Dominated Barren County.
2. Warren Central- Dragons re-affirm their spot with a dominating shutout of previously undefeated Greenwood.
3. Mayfield- Another week, another blowout of a much larger school. 1A Mayfield pistol whips 6A Marshall County. Cards now get to heal up over the next 3 weeks.
4. Henderson County- Very nice win for the Colonels over a Meade County team who is much better than their record indicates.
5. Murray- The Tigers roll playing up against a weak Heath team. A 9-1 regular season seems probable at this point.
Teams on the Rise:
Christian County- The 5-1 Colonels are a 1 point loss in 2OT to Henderson away fro being the #4 team. Expect CCHS to finish 9-1.
Owensboro Catholic- The undefeated Aces certainly have an argument against Murray as the 2A team to beat out west, but their schedule leaves a lot to be desired. Anything less than 10-0 at this point would be surprising.
Teams Falling:
Owensboro- The tradition rich school has fallen on hard times and are fresh off a loss to Madisonville-North Hopkins
Allen County-Scottsville- It hasn't taken the Patriots long to go from a stout WKY team to beat to the team who ended Hopkinsville's losing streak. Another loss this past week and the Patriots sit at 1-5
Game to Watch:
Paducah Tilghman @ Ft. Campbell- WKY 3A supremacy and the most likely path to the State Semi's are on the line this weekend.

Really enjoy reading these, Murray would be my only argument and it is just that a argument as I do not see a clear cut choice at 5
