There are two big reasons this keeps happening:
1. Parents don't punish their kids anymore
2. There is too much violence in video games and television.
When I was growing up you never saw these things happen. I was'nt allowed to watch anything on television unless it had a G or PG rating...and the only video games we had was Mario, Pac-Man and Donkey Kong. I blame the parents of these kids more so than the kids themselves. It all starts at home. If they are raised with morals, principals and respect, you would not see things like this happen.

Exactly. Anytime a kid does something wrong, if you look at their parents, they never try to control them. My parents controlled me, but I fell victim to the actions of someone because their parents didn't control them

I agree that parents are not parenting but the video/movie violence just doesn't fly with me.....
You never seen kids when I went to school eating white pellets or chasing ghost, jumping up and down on mushrooms and spitting fire, or picking barrells up over my head and trying to kidnap a princess...

Wow...this is just unreal! But I do agree, I blame it on the parents.

It seems mostly the parents fault for not being involved more in their children's lives and knowing what is going on, but the video game/TV theory doesn't sit right with me because growing up I watched the most violent things, and played the most violent games and I never planned to shoot anybody..Just like millions of others that play these games and watch these shows/movies....

This is sad, esp. as young as they are.
