Perry Central 50 - Lawrence Co 49

Wow!

What a comeback for the Commodores, another night struggling on defense but the great words of Rich Brooks "A win is a win".

Congrats Commodores!
#2

Defense anyone...
#3
Karma gets LC back for their win at the wire vs. Pburg.
#4
Good to see the Dores get that 1st win of the 2012 season.
#5
LC choked this one away. They should be ashamed

Grats to Perry!!!!
#6
More points than a Hatcher coached basketball game!
#7
Looks like LC gets to experience the sting of a single point loss a week after snagging a game by that margin.

Congratulations Commodores!

Congrats Commodores!

With the scores of the last couple Perry games, a Hal Mumme quote may have been more appropriate. Confusednicker:

Congrats to the Commodores.

Great to see the team get a win - no matter what the circumstance.

But it looks like we're going back to our old gun-slinging days

Dawgs learning some valuable lessons. LC played very good on offense but are lacking on defense. Hope O'Brien is alright.

Is LC playing their best 11 guys both ways? If not, maybe Cecil should consider it. If so, maybe they are just running out of gas.

It is certainly a catch 22, but you have to have your best athletes on the field IMO. My guess is LC is playing their best guys both ways and competing the best they can.

IMO Lawrence Co. has to consider this game a moral victory. I know that probably seems crazy to say, but I have seen them play twice and they are not blessed with a lot of speed guys. To move the ball and put 49 points on the board against a team that Johnson Central only put 44 on, tells a positive story IMO. The offense must be executing.

Good to see the Commadores get a victory but their still on pace to giv up over 300 points as a defense in the regular season. I hope they can get some confidence now and and improve going into the Shedon,Clark game next week. that shold be a good game considering perry just got the coach of the Cards aand their best player.

Glad to see PCC get a win. They really needed it as close as theyve been the past 3 weeks go getting one.

LC is playing what they have. You have to remember the Dawgs was with out 2 starting seniors that really have impact on the D side of the ball. #45 Watson middle LB & #80 Rice Defense End. LC just ran out of gas at the end they left it all on the field which is all you can ask them to do. They also lost the starting tail back early in the game which didn't help any. With all this said we can't take any thing away from PCC these kids didn't quit and at the end deserved the win just like LC did last week. This was a fun game to watch and good luck to both team the rest of the way.

I don't believe in moral victories. If I did, this game wouldn't be one.

Congrats to Perry Central!!
Is the #4 they spoke of earlier in the post for Perry? If so give us an update on his injury. Hate to hear this as i know he is a key player for Perry & fun to watch.
