Itâs been reported for months that WWE is in the process of making a new championship belt that will replace CM Punkâs current âspinnerâ belt.
Punk confirmed in a recent interview that the belt will debut very soon. He speculated it could debut as early as WWE SummerSlam (it didnât) or by next monthâs Night of Champions pay-per-view.
To update this situation, we can report that Rick Petko from Orange County Choppers, which is featured on The Discovery Channelâs American Chopper television series, is helping with the creation of the belt.
He tweeted on Wednesday afternoon that he is currently, âAnnealing aluminum for a WWE Championship belt.â
Hereâs the latest picture of the belt design below, as well as the previous leaked image of the new belt:

He made a mistake. It should be 40 pounds of gold.
I hate the pictures of the belt, but I hate the spinner belt too.

I don't like it at all! I like the World Heavyweight Championship Belt Better!
SD is the World Heavyweight Championship belt the same belt that WCW used back in the day?

Yeah
The wwe champ. belt is awful though. I'd rather have that retarded smoking skull belt Austin had.

Yes it is! That is the only belt to not change since it's creation! To me, it maintains it's history. It's great to see the Indy NWA belt with the same design that Harly, Dusty and Ric wore before WCW took over.

No reason to change it! The belts the WWE created are just plain crappy....The Smoking Skull and WWF Championship were pretty cool
