When Kentucky won its eighth NCAA championship Monday night, Darius Miller claimed a bit of commonwealth hoops history. The UK forward and former Mason County High School star became the first player ever to win a Kentucky high school state title, Kentucky Mr. Basketball honors and an NCAA title at UK. Darrell Griffith is the only other men's player to complete the "Triple Crown" of Kentucky basketball, doing it at Male High School and the University of Louisville. Sixteen Kentucky Mr. Basketballs have played for UK. This is how they've fared:
Player, High School | Mr. Basketball | State title | NCAA title | UK points

I dont understand the love affair with Miller.
The guy couldnt manage to start his senior year, was one of the most inconsistent players weve ever had, and yet people are wanting his jersey hung. It makes absoloutly no sense att all. If you wanna hang someones jerseys, hang our national player of the years and best freshmen weve ever had by puting up a banner that says Davis.

You have to remember...
this is the site on which a few people said Darius Miller was a LOTTERY PICK last year after he played well in their road trip to Canada.

Why do we have all this hate for Darius people? All of you bitch about one and dones...then we have a guy who stays all 4 years, a Kentuckian..does NOTHING but put the team first and has came through time and time again when we've needed him...didn't whine or bitch when he came off the bench his Senior year, after starting all of his Junior year. And when the season is over, after a National Championship that wouldn't have happened without him, you all start hating on him? Give me a break...be appreciative for once in your damn lives.

Miller should be hanging in Rupp. More than anyone else in the past few years, with the possible exception of Davis because of his ridiculous hype (which he backed up on the court).

If we hung a banner for all the players who stayed for four year then there would be a shit load of banners of people weve never heard of. Who said anything about hating on him? ? Im not. I just dont believe hes worthy of a banner.

I personally feel, Darius deserves to hang from the rafters. He came to UK in light of Tubby-Gillispie transition. Stuck it out despite Gillispie. Starter on Elite Eight team that featured 5 first round draft picks. Starter on Final Four team that was overachiever. Won SEC Tourney MVP. Senior leadership guided UK to a National Championship & took a seat for the benefit of the team.
1 National Title
2 Final Fours appearances
3 Elite Eight appearances
3 SEC Titles
1 SEC Tourney MVP award
1 SEC 6th Man of the year award
He should hang
