(1) UCONN 80 - (2) Kentucky 65 (NCAA Women's Elite 8)

I knew this would happen. Sorry to say but Kentucky in Women's basketball will never compete with UCONN nor will they ever be UCONN but they have had a pretty darn good season

Im surprised they made it this far.

I'm extremely proud of this group of young ladies. Awesome run!

They played excellent. Id like to punch that woman commentator in the mouth. Jesus, She said on National Television. They shouldnt call a 3rd Foul on that Big White Uconn girl because shes a star player.

I agree. UK out played UCONN in the first half and when the second half started. It was like the Officials decided in the locker room that they weren't supposed to do that. Hell, UCONN was in the double bonus way before UK even reached the bonus. It didn't help matters that UK went ice cold from the field in the second half either.

Coach Mitchell is doing and oustanding job at UK. With the success he is having he is starting to keep some of the Local and surrounding states better players in the area instead of them taking off fo UT, Duke or all the way up to UCONN. I look for them to make another run next season. Because they are a fairly young team.

Guys we have a ton of talent coming back. The Oneil girl who sat out with injury, the Cal transfer that had to sit out, and so far we have signed one McDonalds All American and we can get two more. Goss, Mathos, Walker, and Evans will be back so we are going to be a top 10 team.

Kept the game close in the 1st but Uconn just picked up on defense and ran UK out of the gym.

Looks like they competed with UCONN for most of the game. You never know. When I was in high school and college, no one had ever heard of UCONN sports period. Look at where they are today. The only definite thing with UK sports is our football team will NEVER win the SEC.

^ They did compete for a Half. I'm not taking nothing away from the Ladies it's just I don't think they ever will compete with UCONN a whole game nor will they be a UCONN. UCONN is the Kentucky of Women's Basketball

If you are looking at longevity, you would have to consider Tennessee womens program. They have been feared and successful for a longer period of time and they have still won the most national championships. They also have a bigger following then UCONN. UCONN is more like UCLA.

Great game and great season for Kentucky. Next year they have almost everyone back plus 2 McDonald's All-Americans that did not play this season and 1 McDonald's All-American recruit. They should be very good next year and for years to come. Matthew Mitchell is doing an outstanding job at Kentucky. The things he has done for this program are remarkable.

U Conn plays as bad as they could in the first half allowing the Lady Cats to stick around. The Cats are a few level behind the elite teams but they are very solid, and should get better.

I think U CONN over looked Kentucky and it took them until the 2nd half to understand they were in a game, then they started playing U CONN ball and it shoewd as they won in a big way as the score shows.

I hope they start a Regular Season Series with UCONN and whip them up and down the court. All We can do is wait until next year
