Manual 78, Madison Central 53: The Lady Crimsons (19-2) shot a blistering 56.9 percent (33 of 58) and had three double-figure scorers in their rout of the No. 13 Lady Indians (16-4).

Kara Wright led Manual with 17 points and nine rebounds. April Wilson had 16 points, seven assists and four steals, and LeAsia Wright also scored 16.

Manual led 38-20 at halftime, then scored on its first eight possessions of the third quarter to build the lead to 55-29. The Lady Crimsons shot 80 percent (12 of 15) in the quarter.

“Last year we’d be up big at halftime and come out and let a team right back in the game,” Kara Wright said. “Coach (Stacy Pendleton) definitely stated (at halftime) that he wanted us to come out hard in the second half and finish them off.”

Kristin Congleton had 15 points and eight rebounds for the losers.
