The top-ranked Shamrocks (11-2) never trailed the visiting Thoroughbreds (6-4) in their ninth straight victory against in-state competition. Nathan Dieudonne, James Quick and Charles Foster tallied 12 points apiece for Trinity. Nick Seibert and Drew McDonald paced Newport Central Catholic with eight each.

Perhaps NCC needs to go back to playing Silver Grove, Ludlow, and more of those type teams that they're equally as talented as.
