fyi there will be 4 high school all star teams this year 2 jr. and 2 sr.they will be playing at uk in june in the east/west allstar tournament.head coaches nominate and vote on east/west allstars as well as allstate and academic allstate players.the only way they can nominate and vote is to be a member of the ky. high school coachs association.as of today there are only 3 coaches members in the 15th region.this is why nobody from eastern ky ever gets selected.fees to join are 30.00 head coach and 15.00 asst.the head can nominate 2 players and the asst 1.they are also entitled to 1 vote each on the weekly top 25.every girl that plays softball needs to make sure their coaches join.the deadline to join is march 15th.

lawrence has now joined the softball coaches association so they will be able to nominate 3 girls for all state and any and all girls that qualify for academic all state.academic all state is listed in the state khsaa softball record book.rowan county has now joined also.march the 15th is the deadline for coaches to join.talk to your coaches and athletic directors.if all the schools in eastern ky join it would be a huge voting block and girls from this area would see some players honored for their achievements on the field and in the classroom.
