Final. Russell lead 36-28 midway through the fourth quarter, and Ashland did not take their first lead of the ball game until Drew McDavid hit both shots on a 1 and 1 bonus with 57 seconds left to make the score 38-36. Jonathan Vanhoose drained a three pointer from the corner with 3.7 seconds to go in the game. Ashland then got the ball to midcourt and called a timeout, and after that Robbie Wilcox drove in and missed a mid-range shot, but Drew McDavid tipped the ball in under the basket as time ran out for the win.

My fault on that, he hit the shot with 5 seconds to go, then Ashland called the timeout at halfcourt with 3 to go. But yes, the missed shot and the tip in is exactly what happened.

It was a crazy night in the furnace. I cant believe that Vanhoose hit that fadeaway three, he was almost out of bounds it was a sensational shot. What the funny part was, some russell people thought that they actually won. I heard a woman say that russell won and the basket didn't count. I had some doubts about whether it should of counted but i guess the ref thought that it did so congrats to the Cats for a big win and that is a tough loss for the Devils with districts right around the corner.

Games like these are the ones that make it a rival game an keep it strong, Vanhoose (sp) is one good ball player an will lead the devils well into the tourney. but with the basket i was their after the ball rimmed out an drews tip in the buzzered went off right when the ball retouched the rim and swished in. but still good game an shocker. :Cheerlead
