Jacksonville Jags fired Jack Del Rio
#2
They didn't really seem to be going anywhere except down........however, not a fan of firing a coach during mid season

Agreed.

The Jags seem to be high on Jeff Fisher, I said I would cheer for Fisher no matter where he ended up at but it would be hard to cheer for a team in the same divison. I hope Fisher doesnt go to Jacksonville.

I heard that Jeff Fisher and Brian Belick are the ones they are looking at first.

Beyond that, Mike Martz name has been mentioned.

It's a good job, in good weather, with a good fanbase!
#6
the owner is also selling the Jags

This job might bring in a very big name.

Joker Phillips is there top target.

Rob Ryan should take that job, might be his only chance to land a head coaching gig.

As for Del Rio, he can come to Oakland and take over our defense.

I'd like that. Wink

They need a coach with a strong background in offense, particularly in molding quarterbacks. Their rushing, against-run and against-pass, are all top 14 in the NFL. They are top 5 in one of the defensive categories and they have MJ-D in the backfield.

Either draft a new QB, or bring in someone that an work with Gabbart.

I am not saying I agree, but Mike Martz might get the call. Jeff Fischer does not have a good track record with creating Pro-Bowl QB's but Jacksonville's roster has the aroma of a Fischer team. I think he would be a great hire.
