Player to watch: G Jasmine Whitfield (Sr., 5-11, 20.9 ppg, 7.2 rpg) is a Cincinnati signee and an All-State candidate.


Other top players: C Mary Dye (6-0, Sr., 12.4 ppg, 8.6 rpg) has signed with Bellarmine; G/F Maddie Wright (5-7, Sr., 3.8 ppg, 4.9 rpg) and G Lissa Gamsky (Sr., 5.1 ppg, 2.3 rpg).


Outlook: Experience is the Dragons’ main asset. “We’ve got a number of players that have played quite awhile,” Wright said. “They should be familiar with each other and familiar with most of our opponents.” Whitfield continues to develop each season. “She’s pretty versatile, a pretty complete player,” he said. “She gives us a boost offensively and defensively.”
