Last season: 2-18, lost to St. Francis 60-49 in 23rd District opener.
Player to watch: Sophomore guard Matthew Hoagland (5-10) averaged 12.3 points and 4.6 rebounds last season.
Other top players: G William Brown (5-2, 7th, 5 ppg, 1 rpg); F Josh Brown (5-10, So., 3.3 ppg, 3.9 rpg); G Brandon Geary (5-8, Sr., 2.7 ppg, 2.9 rpg); G Nathan Biggs-Penton (5-9, So., 1.8 ppg, 1.6 rpg).
Outlook: The Bears are tiny, with 5-10 Josh Brown joining three others as the tallest players on the roster. Marion is hoping newcomer Joey Leavell, a 5-8 senior, will provide depth at guard.
