Wow, the Farm Bureau Classic has really taken a big step backwards this year. That lineup is pathetic compared to the games they've had in the past.

Where are the big out-of-state teams? Where are the local powerhouses? I suppose Rowan County would have to serve as the local "powerhouse", since they did play in the state title game last year. But Shelby Valley is still a year away, and Betsy Layne lost a lot from last year. Pike Central and Magoffin are, well, Pike Central and Magoffin.

Maybe we should rename this the "Louisville/Mountain Showdown".

I'm not sure the local teams are good enough to warrant bringing in elite level teams. Nobody here can compete with the likes of Miller Grove or Walton, Ga. right now. Trinity, Rowan County, and Central should all have pretty talented teams. These may not be the caliber of teams that have played in the past, but local teams would not be competitive against those past teams either...

Perry Central looks to be very strong this year, maybe they could have played a good out-of-state team.

You're right about one thing, the 15th region just doesn't have an elite team presently. Probably the worst region in the state as of right now.
