32. (32) St. Louis Rams: They're now 0-6 and have only two rushing touchdowns to date. If the Rams thought the Cowboys were good, wait until they have to face the Saints, who strung up 62 points Sunday night on the Colts. Yeah, it's going to get ugly. Cover your eyes.
31. (31) Miami Dolphins: Talk about an epic collapse. The Dolphins were worse than baseball's Red Sox or Braves down the stretch against Tim Tebow and the Broncos. I don't see how head coach Tony Sparano survives much longer, but apparently, his job is safe for the moment. You know, until they lose this week at the Giants. Personally, I'd make the move now.
30. (30) Indianapolis Colts: Just got lit up by the Saints and now travel to Tennessee where the misery likely continues. At 0-7, how much worse can it get for what has been one of the more dependable franchises in the NFL the past 10 years? What a sad, sad fall.
29. (28) Arizona Cardinals: The losing streak has reached five games. Let's go ahead and extend it to six since they have to travel to Baltimore and face the best defense on the planet - even if the Ravens' offense looked like garbage against the Jaguars on Monday. There needs to be some kind of a shake up this week. With the Cardinals and I'm not sure how big it should be, but I'll be shocked if there isn't some sort of repercussions for this awful 1-5 start.
28. (27) Minnesota Vikings: Christian Ponder and the Vikings gave the Packers a scare until Green Bay woke up and realized they weren't playing with a sense of urgency. Minnesota needs a complete game to beat the Panthers on the road this week and there's a chance it will happen.
27. (23) Seattle Seahawks: Did anybody watch their 6-3 loss to Cleveland? Nah, didn't think so. Talk about ugly. Maybe they can surprise a visiting Bengals team this week, but I doubt it.
26. (29) Jacksonville Jaguars: Snapped a five-game losing streak with a huge, improbable Monday night win over the Ravens to jump three spots in the Power Rankings. They travel to Houston this week, but don't count on another upset.
25. (22) Washington Redskins: Hate to say I saw this coming, but I've been writing it all season in this space. The Redskins are an average team that fooled a lot of you with their great early start. I say they lose their third straight this week when they travel to Buffalo. What say you?
24. (24) Cleveland Browns: They won a 6-3 stinker over Seattle and will have their hands full as they travel to San Francisco to face a rested 49ers team that stands 5-1 and is starting to show some swagger again.
23. (26) Denver Broncos: The Tim Tebow magic did it. Tebow rallied the Broncos down from 15 points in the final few minutes for one of the biggest comebacks in years. Talk about energy and drama. Can he put together a more complete game this week against visiting Detroit? Let's all tune in and watch, shall we?
22. (25) Carolina Panthers: Beat Washington, which we saw coming, and they should be able to beat the Vikings at home this week, too, but only if the defense buckles down. Give these guys another year and they could really make some noise, but there needs to be a few upgrades.
21. (21) Kansas City Chiefs: Don't look now, but the Chiefs have rattled off three straight wins after being outscored 89-10 in lopsided loss to Buffalo and Detroit. Don't get too excited, though, trust me. They aren't that good.
20. (14) Tennessee Titans: Have no choice but to drop them six big spots after getting hammered by Houston. Now they get the winless Colts at home and if RB Chris Johnson doesn't start earning his fat new contract, the fans should keep booing him. He had just 18 yards on 10 carries last week.
19. (20) Dallas Cowboys: OK, that win over the Rams was more like it, but it was the Rams. Let's see how Dallas responds when the competition gets a little tough, like Sunday night against Philly. Loved watching rookie RB DeMarco Murray run for a club-record 253 yards. Give him the ball 25 times this week.
18. (19) Philadelphia Eagles: Coming out of the bye week, the Eagles face a make-or-break game Sunday night against the Cowboys and if they can take care of business at home, they'll be back in the conversation, as we have predicted.
17. (18) Cincinnati Bengals: Still just a tease in my opinion at 4-2. That's good enough for third place in the AFC North. But they should be able to handle the Seahawks this week in Seattle. Maybe. A win might make me start being a little nicer to these guys.
16. (12) Buccaneers: If they had their full compliment of running backs against the Bears, they might have won in London. But injuries are a part of the NFL and the Bucs get the week off to try and get healthy.
15. (10) Oakland Raiders: Six interceptions between Kyle Boller and Carson Palmer? Two of them returned for touchdowns? That 28-0 loss at home to Kansas City will linger for a while, even through the bye week. Let's hope RB Darren McFadden's foot injury doesn't linger, though.
14. (17) Chicago Bears: Still relevant at 4-3 and looked decent in their win over Tampa Bay in London. Now they get a week off to prepare and rest up for the Eagles on Monday night in Week 9. That game could make or break the Bears' season.
13. (16) Houston Texans: Reclaimed the AFC South lead with their 41-7 trouncing of the Titans and are due to get some injured players back, namely WR Andre Johnson, possibly for this week's game against the visiting Jaguars.
12. (8) Detroit Lions: Still 5-2, but back-to-back losses have dropped them from No.5 in the Power Rankings all the way to here. I can't see how they lose to Tim Tebow and the Broncos this week, but the game is in Denver, which always makes you wonder.
11. (15) Atlanta Falcons: They're back in the hunt at 4-3, and beat a very good Lions team on the road to get there. Now they get a week off to enjoy it. We'll see what the second half brings when they return.
10. (11) New York Giants: They lead the NFC East at 4-2 and coming out of the bye week, get to host the hapless Dolphins, who are 0-6 and could be looking for a new head coach at some point this week. Don't pull a Baltimore now and overlook the Fish.
9. (4) San Diego Chargers: Where was the communication late in the game against the Jets? Philip Rivers and head coach Norv Turner looked like they were nowhere on the same page at critical moments and it wound up costing them. This team may never win when it counts under Turner. Just saying.
8. (13) New York Jets: Move up five spots after beating the Chargers in a game I said they'd win at home. They're now 4-3 and get the week off before having to travel to Buffalo in a huge game for both teams. Hopefully, Rex Ryan uses the bye week to give his mouth a rest.
7. (9) Buffalo Bills: Hope they've forgotten about that loss to the Giants because coming out of the bye week, the Bills have a chance to improve to 5-2 if they play their game and take care of the beat-up Redskins on Sunday.
6. (3) Baltimore Ravens: They looked absolutely dreadful Monday night in that ugly 12-7 loss at Jacksonville. Obviously, they looked past the Jaguars, who came up with their biggest win in years. Back to the drawing board, Baltimore, and don't come back until you get your offense untracked.
5. (7) San Francisco 49ers: They're 5-1, fresh off the bye week, and now get to play the Browns at home. Yep, the NFC West is theirs all right. There isn't any way they can ruin it now, even if they tried.
4. (5) Pittsburgh Steelers: Took care of business against the Cardinals with poise and ease and are starting to find themselves, having won three in a row after a 2-2 start. Up next are the Patriots in a game nobody will want to miss.
3. (6) New Orleans Saints: Set a franchise record for points scored (62) in their Sunday night rout of the Colts. It ties the most points scored in a game by one team since the merger in 1970. Makes you wonder why they ran it up on the Colts. It also makes you wonder how many points they can pin on the winless Rams this week.
2. (2) New England Patriots: Coming out of the bye week, the Patriots travel to Pittsburgh in what could be an epic game - or at least the game of the week. This one is a toss up in my opinion, but I get a sneaky suspicion the Patriots will pull it out in the end.
1. (1) Green Bay Packers: Here's the scary thing: The Packers are 7-0 and in their minds, they still haven't played their best football yet. There were some troubling sights in the win over Minnesota, but they took care of business in the end. They get the week off to freshen up for the second half.

I hate the Packers, excluding Cobb.

^ But they are the best team in football

Right now they are. They won't be in February

I just don't know about these rankings honestly. How could any respectable poll not have the Colts at 32? Have they seen them play?
