Outstanding player and athlete from Woodford County. Tied or broke 11th regional tournament blocked shot record last season against Lexington Catholic. Also starred on the KYA All-Star AAU team that won KY 17-U championship in May. Great prospect, congratulations.

Woodford County standout Jay Johnson has committed to play basketball at Tennessee Tech.
Yellowjackets coach Scott Hundley announced Johnson's decision via email.
Johnson, a 6-foot-7 forward, is considered one of the state's best prospects in the Class of 2012.
Johnson is currently rehabbing a knee after undergoing surgery this summer. He is expected to be back on the court by the beginning of
the year.
Johnson also had offers from Coastal Carolina and Gardner-Webb. He averaged 20 points and 14 rebounds for Woodford Co. as a junior.
