I'll take Garrard by two touchdowns. It's at Garrard for one touchdown and the other because I think Garrard is a pretty good team after seeing them go up on 4A Clay County....let Clay back into the game, gave up the lead and not letting down and giving up into several overtimes while pulling out the win. #1 for Garrard is rougher than a night in jail and I liked the look of the team overall and the showing of heart to win that game against Clay and them giving Danville what-for in the following game. Scenters is a pretty darn good coach and I say Garrard by 13.

WOW! You mean Garrard picked Powell to be their Homecoming Game? I mean, usually a team picks a team that they know won't be that good for homecoming! Should be some good incentive for the Pirates. irateSho

That is what happens when you are the best or one of the best. You do not get the opportunity to play 3-7, 2-8, 1-9, or 0-10 teams that are gimmees. And why would you want to if you are a Belfry? It is not gonna prepare you for a Russell, Breathitt, Central, or Paducah Tihlman.

A little info on Garrard's schedule. They have 4 home games this year and that leaves very little choice for Homecoming opponent. First home game is annual Hall of Fame Bowl which was Clay, second home game was week after a open date & halftime was needed for tuneup for band competition and last game will be senior night. As a result third home game is HC. Opponent was chosen by date not by who they were playing.

Gameday!!! Hope all you Pirate fans making the drive to Lancaster this evening have a safe trip. Any Pirate fans that get there early, there is a chili supper sponsered by the GCHS Marching Band in the school cafeteria across from the football field from 5 to 7.

It should be a war tonight! Can't wait 'till kickoff!!
