It seems to just about be a done deal for sure.
ESPN also reports Clemson, Missouri, and Florida St. could be headed there as well.
What would that mean for the SEC. Good? Bad? Neither?
Personally I think if you turn this into a 16 team conference than nobody in the conference should play more than 1 out of conference game. I know id much rather see us playing those for instead of a western ky, jacksonville st, or some other cake team. It could really make things interesting in the SEC.
If you dont play the football schedule like that than you could have more than 1 team undefeated on one side of the conference and that would be a mess.
As for basketball i dont see any problem at all with it.
Also, could this mean a couple of teams in the SEC could leave if that happens? Maybe a Vandy or even UK going to the big 10 in the future?

Five years ago I would have welcomed them. Now, I don't know anything about them, and really don't care to!

Yea, i believe its going to be more trouble than help. I would have liked to have gotten Florida state and Lville and that be it.
I would have liked to have seen Ky, Tenn, Vandy, Lville, S Car, Georgia, and an Ark on a northern division.
And LSU, Fla, Bama, Fla St., Ole Miss, Miss St, and Auburn in a south division.
Clearly the south would be better most years but id like it lol.

SEC had to get the best teams available before they got picked up by another conference. I don't like where college sports is headed with all these super conferences. But sadly, its reality, and the SEC is picking up some good teams that will ensure they remain the most dominate conference.

Add one more team and stop at that. Any more than 14 and there will be too much competition.

I heard about the yesterday and the Big 12 is letting on like Texas A&M will remain in the Big 12 and I hope they do because I really don't want them moving to the SEC! I think the SEC is just fine the way it is right now!
