I was surprised when I heard that the players called Ray over-rated. Look for him to kill someone this year (well, kill someone on the field this time)

That's the last man in the league I want to see after I cut in between the tackles lol

I've always been a Ray Lewis fan... And Ray has been a great player and is still a good player but I don't think he's the 4th best player in the league. I believe he has fell off a little.. But he is in the TOP 100!!!!

One thing I want to see how people feel is "Josh Freeman!" What does everyone think about Freeman making the list over Eli and Cutler? Personally I didn't like it...
I know Eli had some bad INT's last year but he still had 31 TD's and 4,000 yds.....
Cutler has the worst O-line in the league but still had an OK season..

^I am really high on Josh Freeman and really low on Eli. Jay Cutler should have made the list. Eli has been highly overrated for years, however he is a Super Bowl Champion. So, with the NFL being a QB league, I would put them all in. Jay and Eli being in the 90's and Freeman is fine where he is.

I seriously couldn't agree more, especially the bolded.

^ I don't think Eli is over-rated and never has been.... How can someone be over-rated when he doesn't make the players top 100 player list, and never gets talked about.....
I thought you all would like Eli since you like players that make game winning drives at the end.... (Super Bowl).... Maybe its just that last name that hurts him....

^ekff, don't lump me into the 4th quarter drive-lovers, lol. I think they are crucial but if someone has a bad 3-quarters the complete game should be viewed badly. The first so-many minutes are just as important as the last 3.
The players do not over-rate Eli, the media does.
When I was thinking about my list, in another thread, I looked at who would be great if they were taken off their current team and placed on any other. I do not think Eli could make a team better, I think his team makes him better. If he got dropped in Carolina, he would do not much better than the QB's they already have.

I think Eli is underrated and Peyton is overrated

^ No way is Peyton overrated. Peyton CREATED a system. Think about it if he could have played IN a system. Put him into the Patriots system and Peyton does better than Brady!

This top 100 is bogus. Troy Polamalu should be ranked 4th. Ed Reed would be in that position 3 or 4 years ago, but not now. Big Ben should be ranked higher than that to, he is better than Phillip Rivers.
07-17-2011, 08:58 PM
I'd take Rivers over Ben.

Rings show otherwise.

Yeah, and Ben has played with the best and most consistent defense since he's been in the league. Rivers is a much better passer, leader, and knows how to run an offense more smoothly.
