Tydlacka Named to "All-Spring Team"
#1
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky senior punter Ryan Tydlacka has been named to the “All-Spring Team” by Rivals.com in recognition of his notable performance during spring practice.

Tom Dienhart handled the assessment for Rivals, selecting just 24 offensive players, defensive players or specialists who had played extremely well and/or made huge progress during spring drills. Here is what Dienhart wrote:

“P Ryan Tydlacka, Kentucky. Tydlacka, a senior, has improved his punting average each season and continued the trend during the spring. In the Blue-White Game, he punted four times for a 55.5-yard average, including a 70-yarder.”
Tydlacka averaged 43.8 yards per punt last season as a junior. He was named Southeastern Conference Special Teams Player of the Week after UK’s win over No. 10 South Carolina, as he helped control field position by placing three punts inside the 20-yard line.

Tydlacka, who came to UK from Trinity High School in Louisville, averaged 37.1 yards per punt as a freshman. He improved to an average of 40 yards during his sophomore year.

Tydlacka also has been diligent in the classroom. He completed his degree in business management last week and plans to work toward a second major in marketing during the fall semester.
