Pretty impressive, I did not know that.
How many teams are in the NAIA? And how many more rounds do they have to swallow?

GIANT KILLERS!!! It is a great day to be a PC Alumni.
Ballers: 32 teams make the tournament they will be in the Elite 8 so 3 to go. Just a side note here as well they may have to play the #1 ranked team next. Last time Pikeville won a game at the NAIA tournament was 2001 when they wait for it made the final 4. In addition on that run they beat OBU!!

One more side not many of you may not know this but current University Heights Coach Rand McCoy (formely coach at Elkhorn City High School) was the coach on the run in 2001.

Vane Cooksey was 11 of 11 from the FT line in the win while Q recorded a double double. Setty yet again came up in the clutch giving the Bears the lead with a late 3. After that the Bears defense prevaled and they hit the boards hard. Setty would eventually score 8 points in the final 2 min.

They sounded like a team that had a chip on their shoulder. The game was back and forth the whole time and they finally got over the hump and pushed a 3-4 point lead with about 2 minutes left. Such a hard fought game and one that speaks volumes of this Bears team. Congrats guys!

Another good win for pikeville.
On to number 1 now.
Lets remember that the rankings going into the tourney are usually never correct as the NAIA teams inability to travel cross country, and its harder to get an accurate polling system, so PC could pick up another one.
Good Luck PC
