I was reading on KSR earlier and they joked about it being his birthday today, and he turned 11.
I was seriously wondering where he is at now, what schools are seriously looking at him, is he still even playing basketball? If I did my math correctly, he should be a high school Junior right now.

He's not rated yet, but Kansas, Florida, and Indiana are interested in him.

He'll end up back in Cali. Probably Pepperdine!

So, did Billy G get it right showing interest in this player? Will he be a good player?

Kansas is showing interested but haven't offered. There's a reason Cal pulled his scholarship.

Some schools are interested in him, none of the elite ones though, according to the article.

I seen the recent post of posters wondering where hes at and this surprised me when I seen it on yahoo today.
The story of Michael Avery â- or is it the legend of Michael Avery or the curious case of Michael Avery? -â started at a basketball tournament in the summer of 2008 that he really had no reason to be in.
Avery was from California. The tournament, the King James Shooting Stars Classic, was in Akron, Ohio.
Avery was in the eighth grade. The players, on the various AAU teams, generally were in high school.
But there was Avery, wowing the crowds -â and one particular college coach -â as a combination guard for the Indiana Elite team.....................

So pretty much the kid doesnt even have a team to play for now.
Hes not allowed to play where he lives because of transfer rules and his family is now completely broke. And the worst part, he has no scholarship offers....at all.
