Belfry 63 East Ridge 55
#1
Good win for the Pirates, Varney leads the way with 24.
#2
Did Justice play?

Congrats Belfry
#3
ouch, East Ridge keeps losing to these sub par teams. Kinda embarrassing. I dont think Justice played, seeing how ER beat Belfry by about 20 earlier this season. I dont know though.

ER needs Justice to return badly. I heard he won't be ready until post season and even may not be back by then. Maybe an ER fan can give us a headsup. Congrats Pirates on the win.

Whoa now sweetheart... were you in attendance for the last game? Justice didn't play last night, but the last game where ER beat Belfry was because Anthony Strother (who had 16 last night) and Joey Pinson didn't play. Considering Belfry lost to Pikeville by only 6, I wouldn't call us sub-par. I think neutral court, full strength ER vs. full strength Pirates would be a good game.

Regardless, ER shouldn't have lost this, even without Justice. There's a thing called pride, and after a tough loss to a rival like Pikeville, you need to come out and show that you can beat good teams without your best player. ER didn't do that, and this game was their perfect chance. Belfry is dang good, I've said it all year.

To my knowledge, this is ER's last game without Justice.

Congrats Belfry. Hopefully we can get you back in region.

Congrats Belfry on your win. Don't see any "sub-par" team in either Belfry or Pikeville.
#10
Agreed, I actually can't wait to see a full strength matchup. We knew after ER beat us that with Joey and Anthony and without 30 turnovers we could beat them, and we came out and had 7 walks in the first half last night and beat them but without Cam. Hopefully this boosts the confidence for the guys and next time with Cam we get another W in the column.

Didn't East Ridge beat Belfry earlier this season by about 20? Yeah I can almost see it now....75 - 57....Make your excuses now.

Belfry didn't have two players.

The same 'excuse' ER has been throwing out for every loss the past 2 months.

Now Now, I never made an excuse. I feel they should be ashamed of their selves. Losing to Belfry should not have happened. Then again you and I both know when Justice returns things will be different.

Okay, and you're making the excuses because ER didn't have Cam? Joey & Anthony combine for about 22 ppg. Still no excuse for the first game, we weren't ready to play and laid down in the 4th quarter.

How did Miller do for ER?

You're taking what I said out of context, Obviously you need to re read that post many many times. In no way was I trying to defend East Ridge for not having a player. When you can comprehend what I said come back and I'll hold your hand, we'll try this again. k?

How quickly people forget that Belfry led the first game for nearly the entire first three quarters and hit a cold spell and just couldn't finish. But at that time Belfry hadn't been playing together but like two weeks due to football.
ER is a good team and obviously different without Justice. But Belfry is also different from the first game.
Both of these two teams are good teams and closer matched than most people realize. Coach Justice would be the first to tell you that you play with what you got out there and don't worry about it. But a loss to Belfry isn't a bad loss, they are one of the teams that could get hot at the right time and contend for region. I believe ER, JC, BL, Pikeville, Belfry, Pike Central and Paintsville (maybe SF) all have a chance to win region depending on the draw and how they are playing at the time.....

Good golly, simmer down children. I don't think either side is making an excuse from what I've read.

That's about as much of an excuse as what I said. But whatever, I'm not getting this one closed down.

I stated a simple opinion. I in no way defended East Ridge for losing that game without having justice. I cant help that you're making a faulty inference.

Then it is my opinion that the first game would have been different with Strother and Pinson, same page now?

And if we hadn't had 30 turnovers... but that is of course not an excuse, but an attribute to ER's defense.

Cameron Justice has a shoulder injury. He is still warming up in the gym everyday. And is willing to play but his dad, or Coach Justice won't allow him to play yet due to the fact that he could get injured more severely while only being in 8th grade. he should be back for post season play but still no deffinite answers. We are all hoping he gets back soon though.

Justice didn't play. Will be back Tuesday night against Valley. East Ridge beat belfry earlier in the season by 18 with Cameron.
