Nice work big boy....

For you to put Jordan at 2, and Kobe at 8, must have been like eating nails for you, I know how much you dislike them two.

But very good work, I love seeing Reggie Miller get some love at the end, Alot of people leave Reggie out of the top 50. But hey, you did leave my boy D-Wade out, anyways me and you will talk about that later.
Great, great, great, great, great, thread! Going to be a lot of debate and disagreements but that's perfectly fine.
Gotta disagree about Jordan though. He is without a doubt the greatest player ever.
Lebron is WAYYYY to high at 17. He will be in the top 10 before he's done, but at the moment he's not that close.
Tim Duncan above Kobe? Cmon. It's debatable but I guess it's whoever you like better.
Wilt is too high. He has great stats but noway he puts those numbers up in todays game. I respect your opinion though, it's a great list. Here my top 10.
1. MJ (nuff said)
2. Magic
3. Shaq
4. Kareem
5. Larry Bird
6. Oscar Roberson
7. Kobe
8. Wilt
9. Duncan(HATE putting him here, but his accomplishments speak for themselves)
10. Karl Malone
^ I'm a big Wilt fan, I read a lot about him.... I wasn't a Jordan fan but I do respect Jordan....
Me either. I also rooted for Malone/Stockton Jazz.

50 - Lebron James (17,363 points) - Will move up quickly if he gets a ring.

51. Chris Webber (Career averages of 20 and 10, and made the Kings contenders)
If Malone got even 1 ring, he would be top 5 without even thinking.
Kareem should be #2 instead of Wilt on my list. Can a mod change it?
Duncan over Kobe, cmon guys...
1. Jordan
2. Kareem
3. Wilt
4. Russell
5. Oscar
6. Shaq
7. Magic
8. Bird
9. West
10. Baylor
11. Hakeem
12. Dr. J
13. Kobe
14. Moses
15. Havlichek

I can't go with guys from the era of the 50's and before. Just no legit way to compare them,. Russell and Wilt modernized the game. It's hard to justify that guys in the 50's and before could have been affective when the game turned to an inside game.

The get that from this: http://forums.interbasket.net/f6/slam-ma...-nba-9839/
I'm not much on ekff's top 50 lol...

But from the ones I see, I like Stardusts' the best.. I do think Kobe and Lebron should be put into the top 20 somewhere because they both are going to have accomplished great things before their time is over.. Kobe already has, but either way you look at it, they are both the best players in the world.. Specially Kobe in his prime.

Also agree with LWC and Chris Webber.. Should def. be in top 50 somewhere.

No, Tim Duncan!!!!! But Dr. J..... WOW, My boy don't get any love on here....
^ Agreed on Lebron. I just wasn't ready to put Lebron in there until he has at least 10+ seasons under his belt. D-Wade will be in the top 20 as well.
Stardust Wrote:The get that from this: http://forums.interbasket.net/f6/slam-ma...-nba-9839/

I didn't get my list from anywhere, I worked hard on that s%!#..... It's all my opinion...
ekff Wrote:No, Tim Duncan!!!!! But Dr. J..... WOW, My boy don't get any love on here....

Tim Duncan is great, but Dr. J was not only great, he changed the game of basketball FOREVER! Dr. J inspired the generation of players starting with Michael Jordan, thus Julius trancends the game of basketball. Tim Duncan is top 3 Power Forwards to ever play the game, and after Bird is with Karl to argue for that spot. But when Dirk's career is over, Dirk will be #2 behind Larry.

Don't take offense, but I believe that it's lists like the one I posted that make people believe Duncan is in the top 10. Very few lists out there have him that high, nor do I believe he deserves that high, and that is all my opinion:biggrin:

Duncan is the GREATEST PF to ever play.... Bird wasn't a PF, Kevin McHale was the PF...... Karl Malone had Stockton and couldn't win a ring..... Stockton is way better then Parker..... And don't say Robinson he was a nobody when Duncan won him a ring .......

Duncan
21,663 points and counting
12,013 rebounding and counting
2,381 blocks and counting
4 rings
3 finals MVP's
2 season MVP's
13 time All-Star
13 time All-NBA, and All-Defensive teams
1998 Rookie of the Year
Not saying your wrong Stardust, it's your opinion, just making a case for my boy Duncan.... I wanted to put him at #1 LOL, he's my fav. player of time....
Robinson was dominant in his position.. He just needed help.. The help he got from Duncan helped him get the ring.

With that said, Robinson and Duncan both should be in the top 50.. But I'm not so sure that I would put Dumb-can in front of the Admiral.
To me Duncan not only is the greatest PF to ever play the game but also a top 5 player of all-time.

Robinson was DONE when Duncan came into the league...

Everyone is done, in your opinion lol.
Top 5 of All-Time

1) Jordan
2) Abdul-Jabbar
3) Magic
4) Kobe
5) Duncan
I wanted to put Kobe higher, I really did because his entire career has been during my lifetime. However, 3 of his rings were received while he was 2nd fiddle. He still won them and was the 2nd best on the best team, not a bad achievement.

Rings are important to me and that is why only 2 players in my Top 20 have no rings (Malone and Baylor) I have no memories of Baylor but everyone always talks about his greatness. Malone kills me because he doesn't have a ring, but he is the 2nd all-time leading scorer in NBA History, come on! He has to be up there. It wasn't like his teams were not competitive: it took a legendary shot from MJ in a game 7 to keep the Jazz from 1 ring.

It was game 6, wasn't it?
^ Malone was a great player, I put him at 20 because of Stockton.... I think Stockton is a big reason why he scored so much.... Best combo to never win a ring.
Magic only scored around 17,000 and put him ahead of Kareem..... I'm not too big on points....
Ballers Wrote:Everyone is done, in your opinion lol.

Well, it's true.... Maybe in the 1999 championship Robinson was OK, but in 2003 he was just along for the ride....

Don't ever say Robinson was better then Duncan!!!!!!!

Duncan- more points, more rebounds, more blocks, more assist, more all-star games, more All-NBA teams, more All-defensive teams, more MVP's, and more rings.........................................
Robinson was better than Duncan. Robinson allowed the young Duncan to get all of those statistics by teams double teaming the most athletic 7' to ever play the game
Duncan was the one getting double teamed.
