10 Lowest Performing Schools in Kentucky

Louisville is home to 6 of the 10 lowest performing schools in Kentucky.

The Courier-Journal reported Monday that the six high schools in
Jefferson County will be subject to state audits and possible
restructuring. They include Southern, Fairdale, Waggener, Iroquois,
Seneca and Doss.

The other schools are East Carter County High School, Christian
County High School, Greenup County High School and Sheldon Clark
High in Martin County.

The schools were selected because of their low proficiency rates
in reading and math on statewide tests last spring.

They're inner-city schools for the most part. Inner-city schools are usually the worst performing in every city.

Sheldon Clark has been in the bottom part of that list forever seems that they never can get off it

Yet, kids can a do get a good education at Sheldon Clark if they have parents who make education a priority. I went to school with several SC graduates who became engineers. One of them was actually GM of Martin County Coal while he was still in school.

You would think that with Louisville having 6 public schools in the bottom 10 of the state that a new downtown arena wouldn't be it's top priority.

Looks like Perry is doing pretty good.
My Senior year the state had to come in for an audit.
