Syracuse 19 West Virginia 14
#1
The day's first upset has been sealed, as the Syracuse Orange have beaten the West Virginia Mountaineers by a final score of 19-14.

It was a scoreless second half for both teams, featuring a grand total of nine punts and a turnover on downs. The latter came on West Virginia's final drive, where they're quest to take the lead stalled after 34 yards. Gen Smith was sacked twice in the Mountaineers' final three plays, including on 4th and 22.

This is the first conference loss for West Virginia, and their supremacy in the Big East is probably going to be null by day's end.
