Where are the Mountains ???
#31
Wondering why WYMT doesn't have Corbin in their Mountain Top Ten.
By the map at the top of the thread they would be a mountain team.
The Lexington Herald has them rated one point over Hazard which is 8th.
Of course there are disparities between the Lexington Herald and WYMT in their ratings what with WYMT having Johnson Central 5th and the Lexington Herald having them 25th in the whole state above all Mountain Top Ten teams except Bell Co.
And then WYMT having Perry 9th and Lexington Herald having them around 23rd in 5A(not sure of the number but that's close). They have Letcher Central which isn't in the Top Ten 4 points over Perry Central.

:eyeroll:True, but we're on a mountainous hill overlooking the Ohio River, we're east of I-75, and we play the smashest-mouth football in the commonwealth.

If you want to be accurate, the mountains start at the Rowan, Menifee and Powell County lines with Bath and Montgomery counties. That's where the flat or gently rolling terrain of the bluegrass morphs into steep slopes.
