They both have 1 national title which is the most important thing so I would call it a tie in that regard. At the same time Tubby gives UK a better repuation that Pitino so I give him the slight edge because of that.

Close but i give it to Pitino. How many straight final 4s did the cats go to with Pitino??? Yeah he only had one Chapionship, but he did bring the program up from shambles. One last remark about this topic.... Tubby's first year, he had all Pitino players. Pitino would have won the championship anyway!! Tubby is a great coach, but he changes his coaching style in the tournament. He will go the entire year using the bench, then in the tournament, he will play 6 to 8 players. Play the way you did allyear because that's how you won all year.
