I am a huge Braves fan and follow them closely, but had no clue until last night that one of the best young arms in their Franchise is a Pikeville native. We were trying to decide just how old Chipper Jones was when i noticed that Johnny Venters has a place of birth listed as Pikeville, KY in the program. Though i think he played his high school ball in Orlando... he still apparently has grandparents in KY.

Just thought this was pretty cool.

Chipper Jones is one of my Top 5 favorite players of all time, even though i'm not a braves fan
