ESPN Rise: CJ Leslie is a lock to Kentucky
#1
:Thumbs:Accorting to ESPN Rise CJ Leslie is a lock to go to Kentucky. Lets all hope this is true as it would bring us with the second straight overall recruiting class and would give us one helluva good player in Leslie

I read that on another website earlier today. If it is true then I think UK is in top shape for next year. Jones seems to be a Washington lean so CJ is the main priority now.

When does he make his official announcement?

i read some where not only does he wanna play with Brandon Knight at UK but he also wants to play with a kid that committed to NC State
#5
I read somewhere that he is not going to say anything until all of the other committments have placed their bets. I think he is kind of like Patrick Patterson 3 years ago. Just wants to have that extra time to think.

Before this morning, I was not aware of anything called “ESPN RISE”. But, since they’re reporting CJ Leslie is a “lock” to Kentucky and it is affiliated with ESPN, maybe I’ll take notice. In this morning’s notes, ESPN RISE had this to say about CJ Leslie

- Leslie: Last Of The Mohicans

Don’t expect Word of God Academy (Raleigh, N.C.) forward C.J. Leslie, a first-team ESPN RISE All-American, to commit to a college until after every other big time prospect makes their pledge.

A reliable source tell us that Leslie, ranked No. 11 in the ESPNU 100, wants to be the last to commit and will hold out until he is.

Leslie is down to Connecticut, Florida, Kentucky and N.C. State. He was supposed to visit Gainesville after the Jordan Brand Classic, but the trip was cancelled — and with it the likelihood of him landing with the Gators.

We’re hearing that he’s a lock to Kentucky. Wildcats head coach John Calipari made quite an impression on Leslie when he came to his house on the first day of the April contact period.

Leslie to Kentucky is imminent. Just don’t expect to hear about it anytime soon.

As Dustin mentioned yesterday, Leslie’s recruitment has been all over the map and very tough to follow. For a while it seemed he was a lock to Kentucky, then, in recent weeks, it seemed the tide had shifted back towards NC State. Suffice it to say no one has a good read on where this kid might end up, but the folks at RISE believe it to be Kentucky.

This would be great if he comes to Kentucky.

Since it looks as if we are gonna lose Jones, then this would be a huge sign for Calipari.

No date has been given yet.

A lot of folks say he wants to be the last major recruit to make his decision and may hold out on one until he is the last.

I wonder if any developments will surface after Jones commits.
